    What does this “empowerment” potentially do for Facebook? That is, how does this specific data hold value from the perspective of Facebook? I ask, because it seems to infringe upon user’s privacy significantly, suggesting that there will be some large anticipated gains at hand for Facebook.

    (I ask these questions as someone who does not belong to Facebook. For this reason the “value” of these policies is less transparent.)
